Bio
Julia received her PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in 2019 from the Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Bonn, Germany. During her PhD she focused on tumor cell plasticity and analyzed the role and regulation of the immunomodulatory ectonucleotidase NT5E/ CD73 in melanoma based on human and murine cell line panels using global gene expression analysis, FACS-based cell state characterization, bisulfite sequencing, ChIP-qPCR, and arrayed CRISPR-Cas9-based genome editing.
Driven by the translational perspective of her research she started medical studies in 2017 and is currently completing her medical doctorate at the Institute of Experimental Oncology on plasticity-related resistance mechanisms in NSCLC.
